What we most see as energy efficiency in datacenters are cold containment aisles, including roof, aisle doors or curtains, but most of the used electrical energy is wasted because we do not competely separate cold & hot airflows in the hidden areas, like cable opennings thru the raised floor, or openned rack units where equipment is not installed.
